In the Sioux county records, book 14, page 248 is the Marriage Record of Bastiaan Vander Waal (age 23) and Alice Kuiken (age 22). They were married on March 3, 1926 in Orange City, Iowa by Minister N. J. Monsma.

Bastiaan Vander Waal was born in Zuid Beyerland Holland to Cornelis Vander Waal and Sarah Steenhoven . Alice Kuiken was born in Midway, WI to Klaas Kuiken and Trijntje Kuipers.
