Funeral services for Charles C. Hendrych Jr., 41, were held in Durant Feb. 22 with the Rev. Alan Herbst officiating. Pallbearers were Joel Meincke, Randy Fox, Mitch Marshall, Bob West, Wayne Klemme and Jim Rylander. Mabyn Fox was organist. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Mr. Hendrych died at University hospitals, Iowa City, Feb. 18.

The son of Charles C. and Eileen Deters Hendrych Sr., he was born in Davenport Aug. 15, 1940. He was married to Dianne Davis at Davenport Sept. 5, 1959.

He was an engineer and heavy equipment operator and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 537.

Mr. Hendrych is survived by a son, Jeffrey; 2 daughters, Jodi and Denise; his mother, Mrs. Eileen Devlin, Davenport and his stepfather, William Devlin, Davenport. He was preceded in death by his wife and his father.
