Funeral services for Herman H. Paustian, 76, New Liberty, will be held at the Lacock Funeral home, Durant, at 10:30 a.m. today (May 14) with burial in the New Liberty cemetery. Visitation was until 9 p.m. May 13.

Mr. Paustian died at Davenport Osteopathic hospital May 11.

The son of Theodore and Emma Roth Paustian, he was born at New Liberty May 10, 1905 and was married to Wilma Edler at Clarence Feb. 22, 1929. He retired from the New Liberty elevator in 1974. He was a member of the New Liberty fire department for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma, New Liberty; 2 daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Norma) Riedesel, Wheatland and Mrs. Larry (Wylene) Hostler, Tipton and 2 sons, Dallas, Anamosa and Dennis, Durant; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
