Taylor - Soles - Burgess-Ringgold County

Looking for descendency and information on the family of James Taylor (born 1807 Kentucky) (married to Nancy S.(1803 born N.C.

John Taylor born 1829 Ohio (mentioned in some of the old pioneer stories his cabin burning down/Lumber with whipsaw son-inlaw to EL Soles), married in Wabash, In to Alpha Soles (born 1834 Ohio) (EL Soles oldest daughter) E L Soles is mentioned in many pioneer postings). I have them in the 1860 cenus than John is gone and Alpha is re-married to a man last name Abbott and has a daughter Flora B (around 1866) later she is divorced from Abbott.

John is my 3 x great grandfather I have not been able to find information regarding what happened to him between 1860 and 1865 my first thought was the civil war but have not found his name. Thank you for any information..
