OBITUARY - MRS. NELLIE RAINS
Nellie J. RAINS, a resident of Ringgold county for many years, passed away October 14, in the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr, at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 21 days.

Born near Villisca, Iowa, on January 24, 1879, she grew to womanhood in that vicinity.

On the 18th of July, 1900, she was united in marriage with George Marion RAINS, and of this union were born seven children - Mrs. Norma GRADY and Carter RAINS, of Clinton, Mrs. Verna HUFF, of Mount Ayr, Mrs. Marian WICK, of Osceola, Mrs. Margaret WEST, of Omaha, Neb., Leo RAINS, of Redding, and Clark RAINS, of Denver, Colo.

Besides her seven children, she leaves to mourn, 20 grandchildren, eight granddaughters and 12 grandsons, 31 great-grandchildren, five nephews and four nieces.

Funeral services were held October 17, from the Methodist Church in Tingley, conducted by the Rev. John BRADEN. Mrs. Leo MORGAN and Mrs. Don HUFF sang, accompanied at the piano by Margaret EIGHME, and casket bearers were Kay, Don and Carter HUFF, Marlin and Jayson WICK and Junior GRADY. Interment was in the Oliver Cemetery.
