OBITUARY.

Mrs. Sarah ROBISON, wife of Joseph ROBINSON, one of the most prominent farmers of Ringgold County, died Saturday morning at her home in Washington township, four miles north of Mt. Ayr. Her death was very sudden. She received an injury by falling a short time before her death, but was improving in health. Saturday morning she suddenly became worse and died almost immediately.

Sarah DUNLAP was born in County Tyrone, Ireland, in 1833. She came to America when seventeen years of age living at Shushan, Washington County, N.Y. She was married to Joseph ROBINSON at Shushan, N.Y., in 1858. They came to Madison, Wisconsin in 1861 and from there to Ringgold Co., Iowa in 1864. She has resided at her Washington township home ever since she came to this county.

She united with the Baptist Church in early life at Shushan, N.Y., and has been a member ever since. Her Christian life was beautiful in its trust and devotion to Christian duty. She has been highly esteemed by the people of Ringgold Co. She had been active in her duties to the community and has made one of the best homes of a community of good homes.

Seven children were born to her. Ida is the only one that does not survive her. Her husband, Joseph ROBINSON and her children, Hiram, John, Charles, Minnie, Margaret and Mrs. J. O. HORNE of Poe township survive her.

The funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon from the Robinson home in Washington township by her pastor, Rev. R. D. BRITTAIN assisted by Rev. S. P. SHAW of Pella. Interment was had in the Rose Hill Cemetery [Mount Ayr]. It is thought by many that the procession following her beir was the greatest ever seen in this county.
