OBITUARY - J. O. TALLMAN
James Orrin TALLMAN, 91, formerly of Caldwell, Idaho, and Adrian, Ore., died at his home in Sacramento, Calif., Jan. 7, 1990.
Orring was born July 1, 1898, in Shannon City, Iowa, a son of Benjamin Franklin and Mary Lydia HELFENSTEIN TALLMAN. He married Leona Erthzelda MATHER Dec. 16, 1922, in Imperial, Neb. where he worked and farmed until moving to Idaho in 1932.
Orrin and his wife moved to Caldwell where he worked for Co-op Oil until moving to Adrian where he farmed and operated a dairy until retirement in Ahsland, Ore.
He moved to Sacramento in 1964, where he enjoyed raising flowers, vegetables, dogs and grandchildren.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by three sons, Eldon, of Lebanon, Merrill, of Bruneais, and Keith, of Riverview; two daughters, Ruth MORGAN, San Jose, and Carol Scott of Shingle Springs, Calif.; 27 grandchildren; several great-and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona, Dec. 26, 1963; a granddaughter, Deb TALLMAN, May 3, 1985; and an infant grandchild.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Lienkaemper Chapel, Nyssa, Ore. Interment followed at Owyhee Cemetery near Adrian [Oregon].
