OBITUARY - LAWRENCE DRY RUSH

TULARE, TULARE CO. CALIF. -- Lawrence D. RUSH, 76, of 124 South West Street, died last night in the home of a son, Warren RUSH, at Route 4, Box 468, after a long illness.

A native of Mount Ayr, Iowa, RUSH lived in Tulare 20 years. Until his retirement he worked for the Crowe Hardware Compnay. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and the Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Rebecca; two other sons, Russell RUSH of Fayre, Okla., and Turner RUSH of Selma; three daughters, Mrs. Goldie GOODWIN of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. Naomi COOK of Fresno and Mrs. Norma BROWN of Tulare; one brother, Elwood RUSH of Oklahoma City; one sister, Mrs. Sina JOHNSON of Tulare; 15 grandchildren and seven great-granchildren.

Funeral arrangements are being made by the Hamilton Peers Chapel.

NOTE: Lawrence was born in Middle Fork Township of Ringgold County on September 28, 1880, the son of James Turner and Mary Jane (MORRIS) RUSH. He married May 29, 1904, Decatur, Texas to Rebecca Lucinda DUGGEN, born December 23, 1886 nd died March 15, 1967, Tulare, California.
