OBITUARY - LUCILE EYERLY

Funeral services for long time resident Lucile EYERLY, who departed this life Sept. 26, 2010, at the Council Grove Health Care Center, will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Council Grove United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Walsburg Cemetery northeast of Leonardville, KS following services.

Visitation will be 5-6 PM, Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Flint Hills Chapel, Council Grove.

Lucile was born October, 15, 1908 near Diagonal, IA. She was married to M. K. EYERLY May 31, 1936 in Diagonal. She was an active member of the Council Grove United Methodist Church and her community. She was a 50-year member of PEO which included 36 years with Chapter H, PEO in Council Grove.

She enjoyed needlework, making jewelry, reading, and life itself. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She was well known for her ability to make friends. Her encouraging attitude and infectious smile will be missed by all.

Survivors included daughters; June JOHNSON of Wichita, KS, and Joyce MOISMAN (Paul) of Weatherby Lake, MO; 3 Grandsons: Curt JOHNSON(Janet), El Dorado, KS; Heath JOHNSON (Linda), Wichita; Garrett MOSIMAN (Lisa) of Minneapolis, MN; 2 great-grandchildren; Samuel JOHNSON and Courtney JOHNSON. Other survivors include one sister-in-law Marjorie SOUDER, Osage, IA, 3 nieces and 8 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents – husband, Merwin, two brothers, and three nephews and one niece.

Family suggests donations in lieu of flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Council Grove United Methodist Church or Council Grove Health Care Center.
