Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, IowaOBITUARY - THORLD WELDON WHITE
Weldon WHITE was born in Ringgold County,Iowa, August 18, 1904. He was the son of John K. and Ida Bell WHITE. Death came at the Decatur County Hospital [Leon, May 16, 1975] following a heart attack.
He was united in marriage to Alice Ida CLARK at Creston on Sept. 7, 1923.
Surviving are his widow, Alice; daughter, Esther (Mrs. Charles WEATHERWAX) of Delhi; sons: Donald of Davenport; John of LeClaire; and Jimmy of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving is one brother, John, of Kellerton; sisters, Pearl MICKAEL of Kellerton; Floy MATHIS of Mount Ayr; and Bertha BOWEN of Eagleville, Mo.; nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Decatur Penticostal Church.
Funeral services were held May 19, from the Rhodes-Wilson Funeral Home, with Rev. Norman MEADOWS officiating. Music was provided by Allen HUGHES, accompanied by Mrs. Weldon MEADOWS on the organ. Casketbearers were Corneal BURTON, Howard RUMBLEY, Randy McCULLOUGH, Earl KERN Jr., Larry McATEE and Gary CAMPBELL. Interment was in the Maple Row Cemetery [Kellerton].
