OBITUARY - MRS. ALICE IDA (CLARK) WHITE

Alice WHITE, 87, of Manson, formerly of Kellerton, Ia., died Jan. 15, 1996, at the Good Sarmaritan Home in Manson, Ia.

Service will be 1 P.M. Friday at the Methodist Church in Kellerton with the Rev. Wendi GILLAN officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Row Cemetary in Kellerton. There is open visitation after 10 a.m. today and the family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wilson-Watson Furneral Home, 205 W. Monroe Street, Mount. Ayr.

Memorials maybe directed to the Good Samaritan Home in Manson.

Mrs. WHITE was born July 31, 1908, in Ringgold County to Edward and Ester (HOPKINS) CLARK. On Sep. 7, 1923, she married Weldon WHITE. She was a homemaker, and moved from Kellerton to Pocahontas in 1979, lived in the Pomeroy Nursing Home for 1/2 years and at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home for the past two years.

Survivors include a daughter, Esther (husband Clyde) NEWELL of Oskaloosa; three sons, Donald (wife Evalee) WHITE, and John (wife Sondra) WHITE of Davenport, Ia. and Jimmie (wife Betty) WHITE of Cedar Rapids, Ia.; a half-brother, Issac CLARK of Flordia; two sisters, Lucy CLARK of Des Moines, Ia. and Della DIERKING of Detroit, Mich.; two half-sisters Mary BANNER of Mount Ayr, and Inez HAYS of Osceola, Ia.; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Charles; two sisters, Genevieve GRAY and Goldie SCHOCH; a half-brother Roy CLARK; and a half-sister Dorothy ROBERTS.
