OBITUARY - JOSEPHINE ANN (MILLER) HARPER

Josephine Ann HARPER, 82, Topeka [KS], died Monday, March 12, 2001, at a Topeka hospice house.

She was born Oct. 25, 1918, near Mount Ayr, Iowa, to James Leroy and Ethel Evelyn (STEWART) MILLER. She lived in Grundy Center and Keokuk, Iowa, before she moved to Tulsa, Okla. She was a secretary at Fidelity Bank and Trust in Topeka in 1960-61.

She married Jasper Wilson HARPER on March 19, 1939, in Bentonville, Ark. They lived in Oklahoma, Texas, California, Kansas, New Mexico, England and Germany while he was in the Air Force. He survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Sharon Ann HARPER DuBOIS, Topeka; a brother, Dan C. MILLER, Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Helen J. MILLER, Tulsa; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.

Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Funeral Home.
