February 24, 1968OBITUARY - HAROLD DEAN JACKSON, Sr.
Funeral services for Harold D. JACKSON, Sr., 46, of 8242 Webster, Kansas City, Kansas, will be at 2 o'clock Wednesday at the Butler Chapel, 6300 Parallel, Kansas City, Kansas. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 o'clock Tuesday night at the chapel.
Mr. JACKSON was killed Saturday when his motor car missed a bridge on K-5 and overturned in a creek about one mile south of Leavenworth, Kansas. The car, with JACKSON's body lying face down in the water beside it, was noticed at 7:20 o'clock by a passing motorist.
Mr. JACKSON was born in Mount Ayr, Iowa, on May 21, 1921, and he had lived in Greater Kansas City 40 years. He was a cable repairman for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company 27 years. Mr. JACKSON was a member of the Telephone Pioneer's club.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Leola WISECARVER JACKSON, and a daughter, Violet Gaunce, both of the home; a son, Harold Dean JACKSON, Jr., 3320 North 17th.St. Kansas Cty, Kansas,; his mother Mrs. Fred JACKSON (Stella Marie COVERDELL), of 5840 Peery Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. LeRoy FITZWATER, (Eva May JACKSON-FITZWATER), of 5404 Northern, Raytown, Mo.; a brother, Freddie Eugene JACKSON, 6030 E. 16th. Terr., Kansas City, Mo.; his maternal grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. William H. WILSON, 1000 Bennington, and a grandson.
