Saturday, March 18, 2006OBITUARY - PEARL (EDWARDS) FOWLER SICKELS
Pearl FOWLER SICKELS, 94, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Ellston, died March 11, 2006, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Fifth St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Brian OLIVER of Ellston United Methodist Church will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr. There is open visitation after noon Tuesday with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to Ellston United Methodist Church.
Mrs. SICKELS, daughter of Alma (JONES) and Clyde EDWARDS, was born March 12, 1911, at home northeast of Ellston. On June 15, 1929, she married Gar FOWLER. On November 18, 1979, she married Rex SICKELS. He died September 28, 1987. She was a homemaker.
She graduated from Ellston High School in 1929 and was a member of Ellston United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two children, Rex (wife Winnie) FOWLER of Carlisle and Sue (husband Les) MAKI of Little Canada, Minn.; four grandchildren, Brian (wife Denise) FOWLER, Craig (wife Debra) Fowler, Paul (wife Darcy) MAKI and Diana MAKI; four great-grandchildren, Jessica and Lindsay Fowler, Mason FOWLER and Fox MAKI; and step-children, John SICKELS, Sam SICKELS and Shirley KARR, all of Mount Ayr, Leland SICKELS of Easton, Mo., Bell GUTHLAND of Grain Valley, Mo., Kay MOSIER of Littleton, Colo., and Martha PALMER of Decatur, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands.
