OBITUARY - LAURA ANNE PERDUE

Laura Anne PERDUE, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth BEVINGTON died May 10, 1930.

She was born in Ohio April 1, 1843 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lee BROWN, west of Diagonal, IA, age 87 years, 1 month, and 9 days.

She married Asa PERDUE Nov 7, 1861 and he died 16 yrs ago. They were parents of nine children. Those deceased are Mary E[llen] MILLSAP in 1914, John W. in 1928, Thomas in infancy. Surviving are Grant and Luella of Modesto, CA, Lucinda of Cedar-Wells, Kansas, Anna BENSON and Edna BROWN of Diagonal, IA. Only four children were able to attend her funeral. There are 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was last of a family of 14 children. She was a member of United Brethnan Church first, now the Christian Church. Burial Diagonal Cemetery.
