OBITUARY - MARINDA GILES

--DIED: In Riley township, Ringgold Co., Iowa, Feb. 2, 1878, Marinda, wife of David L. GILES, in the 36th year of her age. She has been a member of the M.E. Church for about 20 years. For the last three years she has been very much afflicted, consequently, unable to attend church regularly, but she still exemplified her Christian life in her daily walk. She expressed herself as willing to exchange a home on earth for one in Heaven, and earnestly exhorted her family in that home. The writer preformed the last sad rites on the 3rd inst, by delivering a discourse to a large and attentive audience, from 1st Corinthians, 15th chap. 55th verse.

NOTE: Marinda GILES' gravestone states that she was 35 days 2 months and 20 days at the time of her death. She was interred at Shaha (a.k.a. Prall) Cemetery near Mount Ayr, Poe Township, Ringgold County, Iowa
