OBITUARY - WALTER GERMAN.

Walter Orville, youngest son of N. B. GERMAN of this city, died at the home of his father Tuesday evening, June 22, 1897, after a brief illness, of typhoid fever. He was born in Ringgold county March 19, 1882, near Beaconsfield, and has been a resident of Mt. Ayr for several years. He was a bright, intelligent lad and his death will be deeply mourned. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon from the residence, conducted by Rev. W. C. MARTIN. The interment will be made today at the Oliver Cemetery in Monroe township [near Ellston]. The bereaved relatives have the sincere sympathy of many friends.

NOTE: Walter was 15 years, 3 months and 4 days old at the time of his death. Walter's mother, Ellen (?) GERMAN, died on March 22, 1890. N. B., Walter's father, was born in 1845, and died in 1916. Ellen and N. B. were interred at Oliver Cemetery near Ellston, Ringgold County, Iowa.
