OBITUARY - ALFRED DOVE.

Alfred DOVE, son of Isaac and Mary DOVE, was born May 20th, 1847, in Richmond, Wayne county, Indiana. He died at his home in Liberty township October 30th, 1925.

He was married to Margaret E. RANEY February 13th, 1873. They then moved to Ringgold county, Iowa, and bought and moved to the farm where he departed this life. The farm has been their home, excepting one year, when they lived in Mount Ayr, and where his wife departed this life March 8th, 1914.

Two children were born to this union, a daughter who died in infancy, and Wm. Dove, who resides on the home place. He is survived by one son, William, and one sister, Mrs. S. A. REYNOLDS, of El Dorado Springs, Mo.

He joined the Methodist church at High Point when a young man and later brought his letter to Mount Ayr.

The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church, being conducted by the pastor, Rev. Jay KIRKENDALL, and was largely attended by friends and neighbors who came to pay their last tribute of respect to one who for more than half a century was known in the community as a kind neighbor and good citizen who ever stood for and exemplified in his life those principles which made for better citizenship.

CARD OF THANKS.

For every kindness shown by neighbors and friends during the illness and on the occasion of the death and funeral we are profoundly grateful. - WILLIAM DOVE.

NOTE: Margaret E. (RANEY), wife of Alfred DOVE, was born May 3, 1847, and died on March 8, 1914 with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
