OBITUARY - DALE LELAND DICKERSON.

Dale Leland DICKERSON, son of W. M. and Imogene DICKERSON, was born January 7, 1913, at Perry, Iowa, and departed this life July 15, 1931, at the Greater Community Hospital at Creston, Iowa, following an operation for appendicitis, performed two weeks ago. Dale was 18 years, six months and eight days of age.

When only a few months old he moved with his parents to Mount Ayr, Iowa, and spent the remainder of his life in or near Mount Ayr, except about a year spent with his sister, Mrs. Dean SMITH, in Beaconsfield, Iowa.

For several months, Dale had been in poor health, but owing to his cheerful and happy disposition no serious though was given his condition. During his last illness he received the constant care of his parents, but wit all that loving hands could do he became constantly weaker.

Suriving him are his parents, five brothers: Burl, Hollis, George, Evan, and Francis, all at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Dean SMITH of Beaconsfield, Iowa, and Oma at home. He also leaves his aged grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. DICKERSON of Rice township, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. W. Harold SMITH, pastor of the local Church of Christ, assisted by Rev. E. S. MENOHER, and interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery [Mount Ayr.]

How we miss you, Dale Darling,
How we miss your cheery smile.
Life will never be the same, dear,
But we'll mee you after while.
No one knows, dear, how we loved you.
That you were our pride and joy,
And our hearts are always aching
For our smiling, brown-eyed boy.
Card of Thanks.

Since it is impossible to see each one personally, we take this means of expressing our thanks for the kind deeds, beautiful floral offerings and donations during the illness and death of our loved one.
--Mr. and Mrs. Will DICKERSON and family, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. DICKERSON, Mr. and Mrs. Dean SMITH.
