OBITUARY - LoEDITH DEFENBAUGH

LoEdith DEFENBAUGH, 100, of Ashland, died Sunday [August 20, 2000] in Ashland. No service is planned.

She was born Aug. 6, 1900, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, a daughter of Benjemine and Elva THOMPSON.

On May 28, 1926, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, she married Charles E. DEFENBAUGH, who died in 1978.

Mrs. DEFENBAUGH was a bookkeeper for Ship Ashore and was part owner of the Green Door Bar and Restaurant in Brookings. She moved to Ashland [OR] in 1998 from Smith River, Calif.

Survivors include a son, Robert, Ashland, Oregon; three grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
