Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nieman of Avoca will observe the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage Sept 1 at an informal dinner Sunday given by their daughter, Mrs. Wilbert Sorensen and her husband at Walnut. Attending will be their children and their families, including Mr. and Mrs. Will Nieman, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Crann, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Nieman and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Nieman all of Avoca. Mr. Nieman, active in business, has twice served as deputy sheriff for the county and as state deputy fire marshal, as parole advisor and on the state bureau of investigation. The couple enjoys good health and almost daily Mr. Nieman can be seen at the fairgrounds race track driving his harness horse, a hobby since boyhood. Mr. Nieman is 73; his wife 70.
