Observe Golden Wedding (1942)Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Wasser celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary Saturday at their home, by receiving many friends and relatives who called in the afternoon and evening.

They were united in marriage on February 28, 1892, at Shelby. Mrs. Wasser came to this country from Germany in 1890 and her husband was a native of Cook county, Illinois. Previous to moving to Avoca in 1921, the couple lived on a farm near Avoca for 29 years.
Mr. Wasser, now justice of the peace, served as county supervisor from 1917 to 1922 and has been the township clerk and assessor.
Mr. and Mrs. Wasser have two daughters, Mrs. Will Quirk and Miss Lillie Wasser, both of Avoca.
