CELEBRATED SIXTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

About sixty-five neighbors and friends called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mark Monday and congratulated them on their sixtieth wedding anniversary.

Mr. and Mrs. Mark’s six children were present to help make the day one of real happiness. They were Mrs. Walter Julius of Cleveland Ohion; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Blust of Wisner, Nebraska; mrs. Mollie Rethwisch of Tilden, Nebraska; and Carl and Fred Mark of Avoca. There were four grandchildren and on great grandchild all present at the anniversary dinner. Mrs. Mark’s daughters served cake, cookies and coffee to all guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Mark came to Avoca in 1882 and have since made this little city their home. Both are held in the highest esteem by all who know them. They have always taken an interest in all affairs that have helped to make Avoca and vicinity a better place to live. Their children have grown up in our midst and all are held in the highest esteem by those who know them.

The Journal Herald congratulates Mr. and Mrs. Mark on their 60th wedding anniversary and congratulate their children on being able to come home and help make another page in their life of memories of their parents a happy one.
