Mrs. Gus Diederich Names Avoca Butter

Names Avoca Butter

The Farmer’s Co-operative Creamery company of Avoca recently offered a prize for the best name suggested for the butter they are going to make. Such a large number of names were submitted that the committee had a no easy job of making a selection.

After careful consideration the name “Avoca’s Gold Nugget” was chosen. This name was sent in by Mrs. Gus Diederich who received a prize of a $5 gold piece.

Following are some of the names suggested: sweet Vale of Avoca; Pride of Avoca; Ever Sweet, Golden Glow, Golden Eagle, Old Glory, Avoca’s Favorite, Avondale, Avoca’ Goody Goody, Buttercup, Golden Cream Butter, Avoca’s Dairy, Avoca’ booster, Avoca Gold Butter, Avoca Tiptop, Avoca’s Farmers Pride, Sunshine, Avoca Sunshine, and many others.
