Attempting to obtain a copy of the obituary for William F. Swift, born 16 July 1885 and died, believed to be in Des Moines, on 24 March 1948. Am trying to ascertain if he was the same person as Eli Fenton Swift, son of James Swift and Ann Amelia Jackson and born in Sombra, Lambton County, Ontario. Shown in obituary for father as living in Des Moines. It is possible that Eli changed his name to William in the United States.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
