I was told that all of the graves at Ft. Des Moines were moved to the National cemetery at Keokuk, IA in southern Lee county, being they were all military related. I also have some Hayes relatives, but she was not in the military. Her husband was born a Hayes, she is my 2nd cousin. They are buried in the Plattsmouth, NE cemetery, with his Hayes family.
