Cemetery & Obit help - Moved?

Looking for information on my great-uncle David J Jones, b. 1880 in Wales, immigrated in 1883, married Niota M Emerson in Madison Co. Iowa, but lived form many years in Des Moines. I have him in the 1930 census, and in prior state & national census records. But come the 1940, it says David & Niota, however I have a death date for him as 30 April 1934. At some time, I took a photo of their headstone in Laurel Hill cemetery, but can't find it after moving, and they are not listed in the Iowa Tombstone project, nor on find-a-grave. So, I would love to find any information on David & Niota after 1930.
