I am looking for some advise since I am not in the Des Moines area. I am looking for the death of Catherine ( Webb) Smith, wife of George Smith, last known address was Des Moines in 1957. She was born in Iowa abt 1912 to William Peardon Webb and Louisa Jackson. He residence in 1957 was listed in her mother's obit. Since Smith is a very common name, I am unable to locate them. If they were in a city directory, it might be possible to pick up George Smith's middle name to possible look at the Soc Sec index. I found a Catherine who fits the date who died in Wash State,but her husband turned out to be a John Smith. I am convinced that they both died in Des Moines. Catherine's mother belonged to Eastern Star and White Shrine of Jerusalem in Des Moines. but I am not sure if she did. Her parents both were buried at Gilmore City, Iowa. Any suggestions would be appreciated
