Those having a long family history within Polk County or are interested in Polk Cnty. history may want to check us out. A current project is restoring, and creating a historical site to be proud of out of the cabin representing Fort DM II where the Raccoon and Des Moines Rivers converge in downtown Des Moines. The PCHS meets the 2nd Sunday of each month (except July & August). Those having historical documents or items please contact us.
