I'm looking for information on the above-listed individual. The surname is that of her last husband whose first name I do not know, though her father's name was David and one of her husbands was Elish Ravoy, another had the surname Lewis.
She was born in Russia or Poland sometime between 1833 & 1840 depending upon which Polk County census (1900 or 1910). She is listed in the 1897 City Directory as Rosa Kamenske, living at at 1503 Buchanan with her daughter Elizabeth and son-in-law Abe Kramer living at 1203 Buchanan. (Rose/Roza/Rosa is listed as living with her daughter and son-in-law in 1900 and 1910 and was still living with them at the time of her death on January 17, 1914. Roza is buried next to Rev. Nathan Goldstein (who died in 1927) and Louis S. Kramer (who died in 1913)at the Children of Israel Cemetery on Delaware & Easter in East Des Moines. I have been unable to locate a death certificate and there may not be one as the state of Iowa didn't require that a death certificate be obtained in 1914.
I would most appreciate anyone helping me to obtain a voting record, state census (other than 1897) or other record that would help me eventually obtain a marriage record (at the time of her death, Rose/Roza/Rose had been been widowed after 45 years of marriage).
