Marlene Purdy, 75, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012, surrounded by her family at University Park Nursing and Rehab in Des Moines. She was born January 28, 1936, in Glidden, Iowa, to Theodore and Ella Crum.

Marlene enjoyed going to Prairie Meadows, playing Skip-Bo, concerts, traveling and was an avid Cubs fan.

Marlene is survived by her brother, Bud (Mary Ann) Crum; sisters, Darlene (Harold) Burns and Mary (Donald) Moses; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly (Dean) Fogarty.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
