Shirley A. Friedman 88 passed away at home on Thursday November 24, 2011. A graveside service will be on Sunday November 27, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Jewish Glendale Cemetery. Shirley was born in Russia on October 14, 1923, and has lived in the Des Moines area most of her life.
Shirley worked in the retail business for many years, working for Younkers, and Wolf's department stores.
She is survived by her two grandchildren, Michelle McGee, and Ray McGee; and eight great-grandchildren. Shirley is preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Allen.
