Larry A. "Fritz" Meyer, 53, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Iowa Health Hospice, Taylor House in Des Moines.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; son, Gerrit; stepmother, Joleen Meyer; brother, James Donald (Faye) Meyer; sister, Suzanne (Michael) Bunting; his parents-in-law, Gerrit (Chris) Steenhoek; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2011, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 517 SW Des Moines Street in Ankeny. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to establish an education fund for Larry's son, Gerrit.
