Amber Williamson, 57, died Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born July 16, 1954 to Allan and Mary Wolfe in Fairfield, Iowa.
Amber lived and worked on the family farm with her husband for most of her life. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, running her pumpkin patch, animals, and the Iowa State Fair. Amber loved to laugh, spend time shopping with her daughter, and decorating for the Christmas holiday.
Amber is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ken; daughter, Kylie Williamson; mother, Mary Wolfe; brothers, Bruce (Lura) Wolfe and Blair (Debbie) Wolfe; several nieces and nephews; and so many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Allan Wolfe.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., with burial to follow at Berwick Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
