Sonja Else Hanni Hatfield, 84, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Friday, June 22, 2012 at Windsor Presbyterian Church, 6301 University Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado, 455 Sherman Street, Suite 500, Denver, CO, 80203.
Sonja was born June 11, 1928 in Hamburg, Germany to Marx and Anna Beneke. She was preceded in death by her husband, John and son, Guy Hatfield. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Mike) Pursel and a granddaughter, Erin Pursel.
