Robert W. Ferguson, 72, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Urbandale followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. A family gathering will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
Bob was born December 9, 1939 in Oskaloosa, Iowa the son of Warren and Dorothy (Donnelly) Ferguson. He graduated from North High School in 1958. Bob worked 25 years as an Account Executive for AT&T and as an Installer for Overhead Doors. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam War and enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Bob is survived by his wife, Eleanor Ferguson of West Des Moines; two sons, Scott (DeAnna) Ferguson and Todd Ferguson both of Urbandale; three grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel and Ryan Ferguson; sister, Karen (Jerry) Lewis of Urbandale and niece, Deb (John) Ascher of Berthoud, Colorado.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Robert Ferguson Memorial Trust Fund.
