Carl Lee Busch, 62, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Iles Funeral Homes - Grandview Park Chapel with burial following at 12:30 p.m., at Iowa Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Carl was born on September 24, 1949 in Des Moines, the son of Joe and Barb Busch. He was a proud Marine who served in Vietnam War in the infantry and had the MOS as a Mortar Man. Assigned to 1/9, 2/1 and 1/26 Battalions. Carl struggled with Huntington's for many years and always worked hard as a laborer for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; eight children, Christina, C.W., Angie, Josh, Shawn, Jodie, Mandie and Darbie; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene and Edward and many nieces and nephews.
