Lucille Schwieso, 65, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines after a three year fight against breast cancer. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 16 at Iles Funeral Homes-Brandt Chapel, Dallas Center followed by a family greeting at the funeral home until 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Lucy grew up in the Alleman and Ankeny area. She attended cosmetology school before her marriage to Dennis Schwieso in 1964. Together they raised their family in the Grimes area where they owned the Corn Patch Restaurant since October 1981.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Dennis; son, Ken (Brandy); daughter, Kim (Cliff) Lovell and seven grandchildren, Zack, Denni, Shelby, Miranda, Rosalyn, Natalie and Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Frances (Thompson) Beck.
