Jeanie, 56, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2012 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. A Celebration of Her Life will be at 4 p.m., Sunday, October 14 at Merle Hay Funeral Home.
Jeanie Marie Gorden, daughter of Haynie and Darlene (Cogley) Rouse, was born September 22, 1956 in Kirksville, Missouri. She worked as a cosmetologist, and then as a CNA for several elderly care facilities and ChildServe. Jeanie liked to shop, drink Pepsi, and collect anything related to Tweety Bird.
Jeanie is remembered by her husband, Steve; her children: Robert, Tenya and Natasha; step-daughter, Lindsey; ten grandchildren: Stacia, R.J., Jeanna, T.J., Micky, Jaidyn, Forrest, Thaddius, Aubrey and Brenna; and her siblings: Leland, Dick, Peggy, Nancy and Ira. Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
