Richard L. Frank, 75, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Perry Lutheran Home in Perry, IA. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday October 3, 2012 at McLaren's Chapel with a private entombment at Resthaven Mausoleum.
Dick was born November 22, 1936 in Des Moines to Virginia and Donald Frank. He graduated from North High School in 1955 and was in the U.S. Naval Reserves. Dick was also a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Des Moines. He worked all his life as an auto body technician at Acheson Auto, Martin Auto Body, Marmet Auto Body, and Gary Eilbert Auto Body. Dick enjoyed all dancing, bowling, golfing, and playing games of chance.
Dick is survived by his wife, June Frank; daughters, Sandra Shore, Linda (Terry) Sieren, and Teri Christensen all of Des Moines; son, Tim (Lori) of Sterling, VA; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; twin brother, Don (Jan) of Huxley and brother, Jack (Jean) of Urbandale; three sisters, Gerry Franck of Florida, Carol Lee (Fred) Arpy of Des Moines, and Margie (James) Tillotson of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Tracey Davis.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McLaren's Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or the Perry Lutheran Home.
