Lovena M. Chapman, 77, of the 2200 block of South Sixth Court, West Des Moines, died of cancer Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at West Des Moines United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.
Mrs. Chapman was born in Missouri and had lived in Bettendorf before moving to the Des Moines area 33 years ago. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Jerry of Windsor Heights, Phil of New Jersey and Steve of West Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death b y her husband, Verlin.
The family will receive friends from 5 to7 p.m. today at McLaren's Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
