Services for Mary Dell Walker, 61, of 1402 Harrison Ave., who died of pneumonia Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Maple Street Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.
Born in Lumington, Miss., Mrs. Walker moved in 1955 to Des Moines, whee she was a foster parent and a member of Maple Street Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Willie; four daughters, Marvenella Nunn of St. Louis, Mo., Carla F. Walker and Natasha Walker, both of Des Moines, and Valerie Marie Walker of Ft. Hood, Texas; three sons, Calvin Walker of Atlanta, Ga.,, Archie Davis Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., and Harry T. Walker of Germany; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at 7 p.m. tonight at Estes & Son Funeral Home.
