Mother of Mrs. John Cline Died at Laurens

Hayfield - Mrs. Joseph Morton, of Laurens, mother of Mrs. John R. Cline of this place, passed away at her home Tuesday, April 22, after a short illness. Mrs. Cline had been called to her bedside and the funeral held at Laurens Friday was attended by other relatives from here, Mr. Cline and the Guy Geddes and Earl Dickson families.

The deceased was 87 years of age and she and her husband, who passed away last fall, had been married more than 65 years.

In the death of Mrs. Morton, Miss Ethel Geddes loses a great grand-mother, the second one this month, as Mrs. John Schram, who died here April 13, was also her great grandmother, being her father's grandmother and Mrs. Morton her mother's grandmother.
