DEATH SUMMONS ESTEEMED AKRON WOMAN FRIDAY

Last Rites Are Held Tuesday Afternoon For Mrs. Dagmar Bredall

Mrs. Dagmar Nilsena Bredall, well-known resident of Akron, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Bogh, near LeMars, Iowa in Fredonia township, Friday, February 5, 1943, of a lingering illness of about two years at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 2 days. She had been staying with her daughter for about three months.

Dagmar Nilsena Nilson was born in Big Springs township, Union county, S. D., September 3, 1873, of parents, Olas and Anna Nilson, early settlers in that community. She was baptized and confirmed in the Union Creek Lutheran church in her young womanhood.

On July 5, 1891, she was united in marriage with J. C. Bredall and this union was blessed with three children. In 1919 Mr. and Mrs. Bredall retired from active farm duties and purchased a home in Akron. Mr. Bredall preceded her in death in January, 1935. She continued to make this her home until the last three months during which time she was cared for by her daughter.

Mrs. Bredall was a kind and loving mother and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

She is survived by two sons, Andrew Bredall of Akron, Iowa, and Dewey Bredall, of Austin, Minn., and one daughter, Mrs. Anna Bogh, of LeMars, Iowa; also by five grandchildren, one brother, August W. Nilson, of Akron, and several nieces and nephews. The community extends its sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Immanuel English Lutheran church in Akron, conducted by Rev. Ernest G. Swenson. Two duets were sung by Miss Lorraine Johnson and Mrs. Clarence Ericson. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.

Relatives who came from a distance were: Dewey Bredall and daughter, Denese, of Austin, Minn.; Mr. ND Mrs. Andrew Bogh, of LeMars, Iowa; Mrs. Franz Schnider, of Rock Rapids, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Joy Troxel, of Menlo, Iowa; Miss Barbara Bredall and Miss Arlus Nilson, of LeMars; Mrs. Gordon Lewison, of Sioux Falls, S. D.; Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Nilson of Hawarden, Iowa; Andrew Juhl, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Lund, Mr. and Mrs. Lon Larson and Mr. and Mrs. Marius Bogh, of LeMars.
