Edward J. Bradley Family
Edward Joseph Bradley, son of Bernard and Mary Quinn Bradley, was born in Colesburg, Delaware County, Iowa on March 18, 1873. In 1874, the family came to Palo Alto County and located on a farm they purchased in Vernon Township for nine hundred dollars. On November 20, 1900, he married Mary Jane Kane, of Emmetsburg, in the Catholic church in Emmetsburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Bradley lived in Vernon Township the greater part of their married life but they also lived on the Mahan farm south of Graettinger.
To this union eight children were born.
Sarah Lillian (Mrs. Fred Brown) was born October 31, 1901 and now lives in Emmetsburg…
Ellen Berniece (Mrs. John Andre) was born on January 23, 1903 and is now a resident of Lakeside Lutheran Home in Emmetsburg. Her sons, Kenneth John and Melvin Edward, are both deceased. Berniece has four grandchildren.
Roy died at the age of five months of meningitis.

Harold Edward Bradley was born on November 28, 1910 and died on July 23, 1980. He never married. He was a salesman and lived in New Mexico for many years.
