Funeral services for Charles H9ffman were held July 6, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Sibley. Fr. R.W. Phillips officiated. Burial was in St. Andrew's Cemetery, with Walton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He died July 3, at Country View Manor, at the age of 92.

Charles Hoffman was born on November 10, 1891 near Sibley to Charles and Mary (Wenther) Hoffman. On October 18, 1911 he was married to Marie Foisey at Sanborn. They farmed near Sibley until 1946, when they retired, and moved to Sibley. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, and Knight's of Columbus.

Survivors include six children: Clarence, of Milford; Blanche Hodapp, Sioux City; Richard, Marshalltown; Cleo Braun, Sibley; George and Frank, both of Melvin; also 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers and five sisters.
