William L Barger and wife, Martha Ann BAILEY died 4 days apart from cholera on Jun 30 & Jul 3 1873, making all the 4 young children orphans. In Martha Ann's will she names her children and where they are going except Nora Belle is undecided at the time as well as Charles and where he goes is not listed.

Nora Belle BARGER was adopted & raised by Rebecca Charlotte WILLITS Hendrix (b 1847 Henry Co, Iowa) eldest daughter of Charles & first wife Rebecca THORTON.
Rebecca WILLET was married a William Hendrix in 1865.
Nora Belle BARGER went on to married a Frank Hendrix in 1899.
Their daughter Alice E HENDRIX married Cecil Josiah Staveley. Alice HENDRIX Staveley died without issues/children.

Sarah Josephine BARGER was adopted by Charles and second wife Helen Willits neighbors of the Bailey farm.

Alice Mae BARGER was taken in by neighbors, Hagenbuch.

Charles BARGER - no idea what family raised him.

Martha Ann was my 4g grandmother's sister and oldest child of Shadrach M Bailey and his wife Nancy. She was born in NC before family moved to TN before settling in Henry Co, Iowa.
