Hi,

I checked the baptismal records of the Catholic Church in Muscatine and there were no Scull family members listed. This book may be found at Musser Public Library in the Reference section.

Like I said before, church records of the time period you asked about, are very thin.

Pondering - it was noted in the 1870 Federal Census for Muscatine Co., he had an 11yr son.

I could not find a marriage record or burial of anyone of the surname of Scull in Muscatine County before 1870. Nor is there a divorce record.

Where have you found the family in the 1860 Federal census?
