Hi Lynn,

I'm trying to find out the middle name of a great-great-uncle of mine whose family moved to Muscatine in the mid-1840's from Accomack County, VA. One source has it as John, while another has James. Both are reliable, so I don't know which to believe. I've emailed the vital statistics department of Muscatine to see whether or not his death certificate is on file there (and, hopefully, lists his full name); he died in 1882. But, if he is listed as a resident of Muscatine in 1879, it would confirm that he still lived there, and narrow down my search some more. Thanks for anything you can do with this --
