Hali, I am not related to these families but did find some genealogical data if it would be helpful in your project. Do you have Bruce's obit? Don't know if he had younger siblings. Bruce's widowed g-mother, Clara Louise Schirding died in Muscatine in 1945 (Chicago Tribune obit). Her son Henry C. Shirding died in Los Angeles co, Ca. in 1986. The Shirding household is in Palatine, Cook co, Il. on the 1910 census indexed as SCHIERDING. William P., Clara L, Esther C. & Henry C. Also found the Heezen family in Muscatine co. from 1895 thru 1915 census records. (With various surname variances, but this is common in genealogical records.) Charles C. Heezen had sisters Helen and Caroline/Carrie. Dick
